I came away from this years April 15th events feeling grim. Having just attended my 103rd event, I've seen some really spectacular ones and one yesterday, that wasn't any different, than the previous 2 years and the numbers attending were lower! Was it because our movement is fizzling? Well, in a way YES! Why? Because we aren't getting anywhere! My second event yesterday, had the 3 major TV stations there and a helicopter crew too, but the stuff on stage was terrible...patriotic yes, but not very inspiring and had no real answers...I'll probably make the front page of a paper again as there was plenty of press there, but I'm amazed that I can tell a TV crew the basics, 103rd event, 40,000 miles, DC 4 times and they just point their camera at granny sitting in the crowd with a cute sign! Then, while I'm standing at the exit as people are leaving and taking pictures with me and shaking my hand and thanking me, a little 14 year old girl comes up and asks if my sign is making fun of Obama? I said my usual, it's more about protesting a stupid congress than Obama...she said, well you shouldn't be able to carry a sign like that...so I asked her, why not? Because he's the president and you're not...and if you're making fun of him, well, that's just f***ed up...my reply was, not as much as you are! So, they're indoctrinating our kids in school and college and the unions are spewing propaganda all throughout their masses and granny's cute sign is all we got? Paul Ryan's bill doesn't get any Dem's votes, so, so much for civility or bipartisanship! Where is the leader who is on the side of truth, who will stand up and shoot down the blatant lies being told everyday in congress, in the press, in the schools and therefore amongst the masses?
