OPERATION SIT IN

  The amount of damage that has already occurred to our country is staggering, and the potential for further damage is great, especially if conservatives do not get control of the House and Senate in the Nov. 2 elections.  That will create what is known as a ‘lame duck’ session of congress when the party in power knows they are losing it, yet have some time before the changeover occurs.  Since the Democrats in the House currently have a huge majority, and the Senate is once again filibuster proof, which means that they CAN virtually pass anything they want to, AND THEY WILL.  If you remember Peolosi, Reid, and Obama had their ‘lame duck’ powwow before congress departed on the current recess.

One of the Bills that is already in committee, and is indeed alive and well is H.R. 5741 The Universal National Service Act.  This is the Bill that will allow Obama to create and populate his sought after – Civilian Security Force – or whatever he names it.  He will have a free hand to do whatever he desires.  Every citizen, male and female, between the ages of 18 and 42 will be REQUIRED to serve the country for two years.  The really bad thing in the Bill is that the President gets a ‘carte blanche’ to do whatever he “desires.”

We have written letters, made phone calls and sent emails on issue after issue, and you know the results we have gleaned.  Folks, if we continue to use only the same tactics we have been using, we will continue to get the same results we have been getting.  It is time to do something else.  I fear that we have but a short window of time to turn things around before things get so bad that it sparks an armed revolution in our great land.  I do not want that to happen, but will not shirk my duties if it comes to it.  However, I would prefer that we manage to turn things around before it comes to armed conflict. 

My proposal is non-violent, albeit it does involve civil disobedience.  I have developed this Operation based on the premise that if the Senators cannot get into the Senate, they cannot cast their vote.  Thus – Operation Sit In -  a grassroots uprising of people from all over the country descending on Washington D.C. determined to risk arrest for the non-violent act of staging a physical sit-in blocking every entrance to the Senate building, including the underground entrance from the MARTA system.  This will not be a picnic, or a vacation, it will be a mission with a purpose!  It will require hardy individuals determined to do what they can to save this country for their children and grandchildren.

The Operation will be carried out by citizens all over the land banding together, each in his or her vital role.  Role #1 – There are millions of Americans out of work who have the freedom of schedule, and the desire to do something, yet because they have no job, they cannot go because of finances.  Fear not, if you are in this category, there will in all probability be a way for you to go.  These folks will be sacrificing a few days of their lives for a great cause.  We will be prepared to leave on a moment’s notice, when Harry Reid makes the announcement that he is scheduling the vote on this Bill, that will be our ‘trigger.’  At that moment we will make contact with the myriad of donors (Role #3), and the donors will hand over the money they have pledged to help send someone to D.C. to participate in their place.  Handling the finances like this makes it possible to minimize the chance of any fraud.  The donors will not have to pay out any money until the need is actually there, and they will have the assurance that the people they are helping are really going.  We are arranging that there be an average of 3 or 4 people per vehicle, so they can drive straight through, no matter where they are traveling from. (Remember, this is a mission, not a vacation).  There will also be some patriots filling Role #2, these folks will all live fairly close to the Washington area, and will allow us to leave our vehicles on their property during the duration of the event.  It may be in a yard, or it may be in a business parking lot.  They will then assist us to getting into D.C. and make arrangements to help us get back to their place when it is all over. (This way we do not have to worry about our vehicles being impounded.)  There are some who may desire to help in another way, and they may not have the opportunity to donate directly to the cause – i.e. the administrative costs of putting this thing together.  We are not asking for such donations; however some have stated they desire to do that, and heaven forbid we not allow them to be a part of this Operation simply because they do not want to fit into the 1, 2, or 3 role.
