In the CrosshairsMike Piccione, Editor
Hey Gunners,
Sarah Palin's church suffered an arson attack. A shot was fired at Republican Eric Cantor's Richmond, VA office. A pollster made Rahm Emmanuel angry so Rahm sent him a dead fish. That is a Sicilian death threat. That is left-wing extremism.
Right-wing extremism is a peaceful protest for lower taxes. How dare people want to march in favor of lower taxes! What kind of animals want lower taxes and personal freedom? You hopefully.
He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance. Just so you know that line is from the Declaration of Independence. Sounds familiar eh?
Should we be upset over this China and Afghanistan deal? We are losing soldiers and Marines in Afghanistan and China is making multibillion dollar contracts for mining rights there? Why are we doing the fighting and China is making a profit? That just doesn't seem right.
The Second Amendment State March in Kentucky made CBS news radio. Congratulations Skip Coryell and thanks for all your hard work. The National March is April 19th. I'll see you there.
We have six Marines writing in G & P this week: North, Smith, Jennings, Vinyard, Coryell and me. Susan Dale has the most scholarly work you will ever read. It is profoundly interesting and informative. Read it please.
Semper Fi,

The shot fired at Cantor's office was revealed to be a stray bullet, not an attack. A pretty horrible act, but by no means an act of aggression (much less "left-wing extremism"). Emmanuel's dead fish was sent years ago, and it's a little much to be rehashing it now, particularly as nobody died over it.
Other than that, the article's fine.
