"Progressives" are, I give them this little bit of a history lesson...
Do most people have any idea where the term “Progressive” came from? I have to bring up the history of that term "Progressive" every month or so to educate the so-called "Liberals" as to the basis of their political ideology. Way back in the 1920's, the Communists in this country referred to themselves as "Progressives" because they always knew a better way to run Government: More correctly, to have Government run YOU. I always thought that people who wanted someone else to always tell them how to run their lives must have had some type of mental inadequacy? Anyway, those "Progressives" eventually named themselves "The American Communist Party."
During the 1950's when narcissist Senator Joe McCarthy was on his Communist under-every-bed witch-hunt, the American Communist Party was feeling a lot of heat from the general public. One way to remove themselves from public view was to change to a less threatening name: THE PROGRESSIVE PARTY. Ironically, Senator McCarthy was correct about the Communist infestation in Government, Hollywood, Education and the “News” Media! The seditious politicians in Congress are a spin-off from that Progressive Party and are referred to as "The Progressive Caucus." Some of those members just got back from a trip to Cuba, praising all the "good" that Communist Fidel Castro has done! Of course, no mention was made about all of the thousands of Cubans that Castro has killed, but that's par for the course with "Liberals."
As the years passed, the seditious politicians incrementally introduced social changes that dumbed down the populace (feel good education) , a fractured society ("Cultural Diversity") , encouraged an open mind to any whacked out socialist idea ("Tolerance"), and forced people what to think ("Political Correctness")...after about 20 years of this indoctrination, "The Progressive Party" felt brave enough to rename themselves what they truly are: "The Communist Party USA."
Along comes the "Progressive" Messiah in the form of Barack Obama (probably not even born in the U.S.). Obama is another narccistic politician, but with a Marxist ideology. He was raised amongst Communists and American hating peoples, associated with Communists friends and College instructors, and now installs Communists into his Administration. How can he possibly "I swear to uphold, defend, and protect the Constitution of the United States?" He can't and won't! Obama is the epitome of demonstrated sedition against the Constitution of the United States!

Doug R...really guessing you are a Glenn Beck fan. Probable not born in the US...really? What is your proof? There is proof that he was born in the US, but I am open to new evidence you have that states otherwise.
As far as Obama upholding the Constitution, where was the Tea Party when the last administration took a crap on the Constitution?
Where was your crying when states made car insurance mandatory? Or when the GOP used reconciliation to pass tax cuts for 5% of the richest Americans?
I can respect your opinions, but please do so with respect to history.
