However no Administration official is moredeserving of removal than Kevin Jennings, whom President Obama putforth to run his Safe Schools program at the Department of Education.What is Mr. Jennings' definition of a "safe school?" He has proudlyboasted of an incident (when he was a teacher) in which upon learningthat a young boy in his class was having sex with a much older man, hedid nothing to discourage him. The only advice this future "Safe Schools" czar gave the young boy was "be sure to bring a condom." Additionally, according to Mr. Jennings, it is heterosexuality that is the problem in our schools. In a speech that Kevin Jennings gave to a group in Iowa, he said, "Every time kids read Romeo & Juliet or they're urged to go to the prom or whatever it is, kids are aggressively recruited to be heterosexual in this country." Recruitedto be heterosexuals? Does Kevin Jennings actually believe that achild's sexual orientation is the product of some educationalconspiracy? The only conspiracy I'm aware of is Jennings' attempt to indoctrinate kids with a pro-homosexual agenda. Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) agrees. Earlier this week, he launched a campaign to oust Jennings(and his radical record) from the Department of Education. In a letterthat he's circulating to his House colleagues, Rep. King tells thePresident, "There is more to safe and drug-free schools than can beaccomplished from the narrow view of Mr. Jennings who has, for morethan 20 years, almost exclusively focused on promoting the homosexualagenda."
