NEW JOBS VIDEO -- Experts explain how high immigration harms working Americans, especially the poorest
By Roy Beck, Friday, May 29, 2009 |
 |
A
new half-hour video assembles some two dozen of the nation's foremost
leaders in protecting American workers. The video gives them a soapbox
to explain how elected leaders use high immigration to drive down the
wages of and throw out of work many of the country's most vulnerable
citizens. Watch a six-minute trailer or go directly to the full video.
Use it in programs for civic clubs, unions, veterans groups and
churches. |
Our Tech Department Needs Your Support
By Solomon Gifford, Friday, May 29, 2009 |
 |
This
week a member of my team came to me and reminded me of how desperate we
are for two new database machines. For those of you that aren’t
familiar with techno-speak, a database machine is essentially a large
storage container for information. |
Immigrants Often Worst of Abusers of Illegal Foreign Workers
By Roy Beck, Thursday, May 28, 2009 |
 |
A
bust of a slavery ring in Missouri has typically found that the
slave-masters are themselves foreigners. While we have plenty of
home-grown, despicable businesses that exploit and abuse illegal
foreign workers, the fact is that foreign-born business owners and
managers are disproportionately responsible for the mistreatment of
foreign workers in this country. |
SCHUMER TRIES TO MOVE GOAL POSTS -- But American People Demand More Than Border Security As Price For Amnesty Conversation
By Roy Beck, Wednesday, May 27, 2009 |
 |
It
is as if Sen. Schumer (D-NY) and Pres. Obama are moving the goal posts
to the 40-yard line and hope to convince a gullible America that it is
the real goal line. They are trying to sell the idea that amnesty bills
were defeated several times in 2007 merely because our southern border
wasn't "secure." Now, they are claiming that just because arrests are
down on the Mexican border that it proves the border is secure and
Americans are ready to talk about amnesty. Folks, not only is the
40-yard line not the goal line, but the ball hasn't come close to
crossing the 50-yard line yet. |
ANOTHER UTAH GOP PRIMARY BATTLE -- Sen. Bennett Worse Than Deposed Rep. Cannon on Immigration
By Roy Beck, Tuesday, May 26, 2009 |
 |
Thus
far, all the journalists in Washington and Utah are getting their
storyline wrong on Sen. Robert Bennett (R-Utah) who is facing a Primary
election challenge next year from Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff.
The journalists claim that at least Bennett isn't vulnerable on the
immigration issue which was a key factor in the Primary defeat of
six-term Rep. Chris Cannon (R-Utah) in 2008. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.
NumbersUSA gives Sen. Bennett a far worse immigration grade than earned
by amnesty-king Cannon. |
Say the Names of Those You Know Who Died for Our Country -- then, pledge to preserve that country
By Roy Beck, Monday, May 25, 2009 |

Alan
Ruddell, Jerry Petty, John Hanson. You don't know them, but you owe
them. They were fellow members of my high school football team and
welded with me at the local steel plant. Like me, they were drafted
into the army, but they lost their lives in service of our national
community. They're the names I must speak at the beginning of my
Memorial Day. And I owe a debt to the names of the people among your
family and friends that you will speak today. |
